Butler, Colella, Gets & Kudisch Among Guests for 'When You're Good to Mama' Benefit 5/10

When Your Good to Mamma is a new benefit concert with some of Broadway's best performing songs that even those not familiar with Broadway will love. This concert will honor the unique relationships between LGBT people and their mother's. This new benefit concert is sure to become a staple in the community.

Scheduled to Perform (in alphabetical order): Kerri Butler (Xanadu), Alan Campbell (Sunset Boulevard), Allison Case (Hair), Rachel Cobb (La Boheme), Jenn Colella (High Fidelity), Paige Davis "Trading Spaces", Ansel Elgort (The 5000 Fingers of Dr.T), Noah Galvin (The 5000 Fingers of Dr.T), Matthew Garrett, (Scottish Opera), Malcolm Gets (A New Brain), Greg Jbara (Billy Elliot), Marc Kudisch (9 to 5), Benjamin Perry (New York City Opera), Andrew Samonsky (South Pacific), Mathew Schecter (Waiting For Godot), Glenn Seven Allen (The Light in the Piazza), Taylor Sternberg (Jersey Boys) with a special appearance by the men of South Pacific! Additional Dialogue by Maria S. Schlatter - MORE SURPRISE STARS TO BE ANNOUNCED! 

At the creative helm is creator Glen Roven. Four time Emmy Winner, Glen Roven, recently made his Carnegie Hall debut conducting his new Violin Concerto, based on the best selling children's book, THE RUNAWAY BUNNY, with Glenn Close narrating and the American Symphony Orchestra. He recorded the piece with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Brooke Shields narrating which is available Sony/BMG. His musical, NORMAN'S ARK, opened the LA New Musical Festival last summer directed by Peter Schneider with a cast of 200. His new musical THE 5,000 FINGERS of DR. T, written with Maria S. Schlatter, directed by Gary Halvorson and produced by Michael Jenkins opens on Broadway next season. He has written songs for, conducted and produced for Julie Andrews, Aretha Franklin, Kenny G., Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Kermit the Frog, Patti LaBelle, Patti LuPone, Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, and many others. He conducted Frank Sinatra's last concert on television and Sammy Davis's final television appearance. He began his Broadway career as a rehearsal pianist for PIPPIN while still in high school, and at nineteen was the musical director of SUGAR BABIES.

At the directorial helm is Adam Kensinger. Adam Kinsinger is honored to be working with such a talented ensemble and creative team. Recent credits include Glen Roven's Norman Ark (Associate Director); Peter Schneider Productions' presentation of Maria Cassi at the Pasadena Playhouse (Producer), Breaking the Bell Jar by Julianne Homokay at the William Ing Center for the Arts (Director). Past work also includes Cottonmouth by Julianne Homokay; The Breakup Notebook: the Lesbian Musical by Patricia Cotter and Lori Scarlet (Los Angles, San Diego and NAMT); Michael John LaChiusa's world premeir of Hotel C'est L'amour (Asst. Director); Jeff Goode's Seven Santas (Asst. Director); Return of the Soldier by Kelly Younger; Smart by Richard Fieldsteel; Hilly Hick's A Hole in the Dark (Asst. Director); Produced by Martin Giannini (In Association with DuHurst Music), Martin Giannini most recently worked in the management offices of 2008's Broadway revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo starring John Leguizamo, Cedric the Entertainer and Haley Joel Osment. He is co-producer of Street Lights, a new musical coming to New York in Fall of '09.
