Bryan Singer On Board for HBO's Bob Fosse Film

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bryan Singer will direct HBO's upcoming film: Bye, Bye Life: The Loves and Deaths of Bob Fosse. While no writer has been announced for the project, the movie musical-famed production team Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, will executive produce the movie.

Bob Fosse was an actor, dancer, musical theater choreographer, director, screenwriter, film editor and film director. He won an unprecedented eight Tony Awards for choreography, as well as one for direction. He was nominated for an Academy Award four times, winning for his direction of Cabaret. He was closely identified with his third wife, Broadway dancing star Gwen Verdon.  His credits include: The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, Pippin, Cabaret, Sweet Charity, and many more.

Zadan and Meron, who run Storyline Entertainment produced the blockbuster Hairspray and the critically acclaimed Chicago, which was the first musical in 34 years to win the top honor of Best Picture Oscar at the 2002 Academy Awards, and are currently working on the highly anticipated Footloose remake. They won GLAAD Media Awards for Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story and for What Makes A Family.  Additional film credits include: Brian's Song, Martin & Lewis, and White Irish Drinkers.  The duo has also produced the current Broadway hit PROMISES, PROMISES as well as the upcoming revival of HOW TO SUCCEED... featuring Daniel Radcliffe

Singer won critical acclaim for his work on The Usual Suspects, and is especially well-known among fans of the science fiction and comic book genres for his work on the first two X-Men films and Superman Returns.
