Arts Teacher of the Year Invitation and Program- MERITORIOUS
The Broward County Commission's Cultural Division enhances the cultural environment of Broward County through the development of the arts. More than 1.8 million residents, 10 million visitors, 10,000 artists, 550 not-for-profit cultural organizations and 31 municipalities are beneficiaries of the services, technical assistance and grant funds through Broward Cultural Division.
A free service of the Broward County Commission, the Cultural Quarterly fine arts magazine, provides in-depth articles on the local, cultural scene, featuring profiles of exceptional artists and detailed listings of events and attractions. The Culturally Speaking column is a monthly article that features Broward County cultural organizations and/or Cultural Division programs within the downtown core; and the Arts Teacher of the Year program plays a pivotal role by honoring a Broward County arts teacher annually, in a gala event at Broward Center for the Performing Arts Center. The invitation and program for this event are significant in symbolic nature, capturing the essence and sophistication of this program.
