Broadway Workshop Presents The Secret Garden: Spring Version May 14-15

Broadway Workshop will present the first NYC staging of The Secret Garden: Spring Version at The 52nd Street Theatre Project/5 Angels Theatre from May 14th through May 15th.

The Secret Garden: Spring Version is a brand new 70-minute edition of the 1991 Tony-Award- winning Broadway musical, The Secret Garden, by Marsha Norman & Lucy Simon. Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden follows the story of the orphaned Mary Lennox who discovers a locked garden filled with magic, a boy who talks to birds, and a cousin she brings back to health.

The production is made up of over 50 young actors who are divided into two casts. Cast members come from throughout New York City and the tri-state area and have a wealth of theater, film and television experience. Included in the principal cast are Sydney Robles, Megan Mistretta, Nicolas Pagano, Michael Kleeman, Amelia Scaramucci, Juliette Stewart, Michael Metcalf, Justin Friesen, Brielle-Monet Lipstein, Sarah Davis, Javier Spivey, Brianna Gentilella, Jenna Scannelli (Martha), Troy Doherty, Zachary Carter Sayle, Jolie Denburg, Tamara Daly, Liana Costable, Alyse Binder and Taylor Rosenberger.
The Secret Garden: Spring Version will be directed by Broadway Workshop artistic director Marc Tumminelli, choreographed by Stephanie Fittro and Musical Directed by Kat Sherrell. Performances will take place 5/14 @ 2pm & 8pm, 5/15 @ 2pm & 6pm, at The 52nd Street Theatre Project, located at 789 10th Avenue in Manhattan.
