Broadway Sessions Welcomes RENT's Tamika Sonja Lawrence & More Tonight

Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) is the host and creator of BROADWAY SESSIONS at THE MIDTOWN THEATRE at the HA! Comedy Club TC l4 " (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (Rent) on piano. In addition after the show we open the microphone up to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic goes from 12:00-2am.

This THURSDAY, September 1st, 2011 the weekly show (now in it's 3rd year) will welcome Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Margot Bingham and Joesph C. Townsend.

Tamika Sonja Lawrence graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of Arizona. She is currently featured as the Seasons of Love soloist/Mrs. Jeffrerson etc in the recently opened Off-Broadway revival of Rent.

Margot Bingham is featured as Alexi/others in the recent Off-Broadway revival of Rent. She has released 2 albums as Margot B., "Two Thousand Mine" and "Live @ The Hazlett. For more info on Margot please visit www.margotb.com.

Joseph C Townsend is an NYC based actor/singer. Townsend will be featured as ‘Danny Who' in the national touring production of How the Grinch Stole Christmas this holiday season.
Open mic party goes til 2 am, featuring Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Midtown Theater, 163 west 46th street inside the HA! Comedy Club. Doors open at 10:40 pm with showtime at 11pm and musical theater open mic party goes til 2 am. There is NO cover charge. Donations will be collected for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
