Cyndi Lauper won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Original Score for KINKY BOOTS. The singer starred in Broadway's 2006 production of THE THREEPENNY OPERA, and Patti LuPone featured Lauper's music in her solo Broadway show MATTERS OF THE HEART. The iconic songwriter, actress and LGBT activist is known for her albums SHE'S SO UNUSUAL, which was the first debut female album with four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and TRUE COLORS; Lauper has released ten studio albums since 1989. Cyndi won Best New Artist at the 1985 GRAMMY Awards.
