And a Happy Birthday shout-out to S. Epatha Merkerson, who turns 64 today!
Merkerson last starred on Broadway in COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA and before that in THE PIANO LESSON and TINTYPES. She was nominated for a Tony in 1990 and 2008. She has also taken the stage Off-Broadway in WHILE I YET LIVE. Merkerson is best known for her role as 'Lieutenant Anita Van Buren' in LAW & ORDER and has since appeared on TV in CHICAGO MED and CHICAGO P.D.
