Brian Hampton will produce the film adaptation of his play, Checking In, which was most recently seen in the 2009 Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival under his Production Company, Small Town Dangerous.

Checking In is the story of six best friends from high school who reunite years later for a weekend in Atlantic City. But, when new truths start spilling out, they discover there's much more to their bond than just a carton of cigarettes, a case of beer, and a room full of high school nostalgia.

Checking In received its first developmental reading at the Creative Center at the Manhattan Theatre Club and immediately went on to a successful and critically acclaimed run at the Actors Guild of Lexington. This summer, it received its New York premiere at the June Havoc Theatre in the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival where it played to packed houses and was nominated for Outstanding Playwriting for a New Script.

Richard St. Peter will direct the film, and actor turned filmmaker, Michael Lee Stever (Broadway: The Golden Age, Saturday Nightmares: The Ultimate Horror Expo Of All Time!) will film and edit.

The MITF cast will reprise their roles in the film with Natalie Buster as Catherine, Allie Darden as Brooke, Brian Hampton as Ben, Beverly Lauchner as Summer, Anna Nugent as Penny, and Jenn Caryn as Liz.
