Stuart Thompson and Tim Levy for NT America, producers of the acclaimed Broadway production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, have announced that a US National Tour of the popular play will launch in October 2016.

The tour route, to include cities throughout North America, is currently being finalized. An opening city has been set and will be announced soon.

The Broadway production of The National Theatre's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time recouped its entire investment in just over three months following a critically acclaimed opening at the Barrymore Theatre on October 5, 2014

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has been nominated for 6 Tony Awards including Best Play (Simon Stephens); Best Performance by an actor in a Leading Role in a Play (Alex Sharp); Best Scenic Design of a Play (Bunny Christie and Finn Ross); Best Lighting Design of a Play (Paule Contstable); Best Direction of a Play (Marianne Elliott); Best Choreography (Scott Grahamand Steven Hoggett)

The Broadway production has also been honored with 6 Drama Desk Award nominations, 6 Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, 2 Drama League Award nominations and 2 Fred and Adele Astaire Award nominations.

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME transferred to London's West End, following a sold-out run at the National Theatre's Cottesloe Theatre in 2012. The production received seven 2013 Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, and continues to play to packed houses at the Gielgud Theatre and on a tour of the UK and Ireland.

The Broadway production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time stars Juilliard graduate Alex Sharpin his Broadway debut as Christopher, Ian Barford (August: Osage County) as Ed, Helen Carey (London Assurance, Tony nomination and Theatre World Award) as Mrs. Alexander, Francesca Faridany (The 39 Steps) as Siobhan and Enid Graham(The Constant Wife) as Judy. The ensemble includes Jocelyn Bioh (An Octoroon at Soho Rep), Keren Dukes ("Nurse Jackie"),Stephanie Roth Haberle (Artist Descending a Staircase), Mercedes Herrero (The Laramie Project and its sequel), Richard Hollis (Hit-Lit at Queens Theatre), Ben Horner (War Horse), David Manis (War Horse), Tom Patrick Stephens (The New York Idea) and Timothy Wright (The Bridges of Madison County). Taylor Trensch (Matilda the Musical) will play Christopher at certain performances. Casting for the US National Tour will be announced in the future.

Written by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, and directed by Marianne Elliott, the production is designed by three-time Olivier Award-winner Bunny Christie, with lighting by Tony Award-winnerPaule Constable, video design by Finn Ross, choreography by Scott Graham and Olivier Award-winner Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly, music by Adrian Sutton, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph and hair and wig design by David Brian Brown.
