By: Kelsey Denette
Life is good® today announced that musicians from the Boston Pops have signed on to play at the 2011 Life is good Festival. World-class musicians from the Pops' string and brass sections led by guest conductor Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) will join Brandi Carlile and The Levon Helm Band for portions of their individual sets on Sunday, September 25, 2011.
Set to take place September 24-25 at Prowse Farm in Canton, MA, a suburb of Boston, the two-day music and fundraising festival is hosted by Life is good®, a Boston-based company that spreads the power of optimism through its colorful collection of apparel and accessories and through its social mission to help kids overcome life-threatening challenges. "My brother and I grew up in the Boston area and the Boston Pops have always been a source of pride for the city," said Bert Jacobs, chief executive optimist for Life is good. "They are a world-renown talent but also an integral part of the Boston community. We are thrilled to have them on stage for the 2011 Life is good Festival and look forward to making them part of the Life is good community."
