Bootless Artworks Presents THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, A PUPPET MUSICAL, 12/11 & 12/12

By:

Bootless Artworks' presentation of THE VELVETEEN RABBIT, A PUPPET MUSICAL is stage production to enjoy with the entire family. This premier adaptation by Australian composer Simon Chan tells the timeless story staged as a live, interactive puppet musical.

Through the wonders of the Internet, Stage Director, Rosanne DellAversano and Music Director James Fuerst, worked with the composer to create a musical showcase of Velveteen's journey from an ordinary toy rabbit stuffed with sawdust to a real rabbit filled with love. Rag Doll (Kimberly Pryor), Clockwork Mouse (Jill Harrison) and Skin Horse (Gary Hubbard), are on hand to welcome Velveteen Rabbit (Melissa Castillo) to the nursery fold. But, can The Boy (Hunter Read) love Velveteen enough to make him real or will Nana (Sarah Blandy) and the Doctor (Carlos Alicea) burn the tiny toy before Dewdrop Fairy (Colleen Conlon) can grant Velveteen's wish to be real?

This thoroughly enchanting show runs December 11 & 12 at 7:30 and December 12 at 12:30. Join the puppets for a Pancake Breakfast prior to the Dec 12 matinee.

Schools and home school groups can attend a free performance on December 10 at 12:30. Send an e-mail to bootlessartworks@verizon.net for further details and to reserve seats for the Dec 10 school performance.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $8 for students and children.  Tickets for December 11 or 12 can be purchased online at bootless.org.
