WHERE'S CHARLEY?

Musical Comedy

Music & Lyrics by Frank Loesser

Book by George Abbott

Based on the play Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas

This zany farce that introduced us to the classic song "Once In Love With Amy" focuses two Oxford University undergrads.  Eager to impress their girlfriends but confined by Victorian conventions, they resort to farcical antics when their chaperone fails to appear, a make-believe chaperone steps in and the original chaperone surprises them all.  Don't miss this gem of a gender-bender that played for 792 performances after opening on Broadway in 1948.  Perfect for the entire family!

Play #2

December 30, 2005February 12, 2006

BLITHE SPIRIT

Classic Comedy

By Noel Coward

Imagine an elegant dinner party at home with after-dinner entertainment provided by a local clairvoyant.  Then imagine your reaction as Madame Arcati conjures up your first wife's spirit, in front of your second wife and the company.  And you're the only one who can hear dear, departed Elvira as she mixes things up and leaves crazed chaos in her wake.  Noel Coward said Blithe Spirit was the best thing he ever wrote.  A perfect play for the holidays.  Don't miss this consummate classic comedy.

Play #3

February 19 – April 2, 2006

UNDER THE BED

New Play

By Susan Sandler

World Premiere

This play about older adults who relocated from the north to Palm Beach County is not only poignant and amusing, it will be instantly recognizable to theater patrons the world over.  A tour de force from the multitalented playwright and filmmaker who gave us Crossing Delancey, Under The Bed is a series of interconnected stories about love, lust and loss in South Florida.  This world premiere will be talked about for generations.

Play #4

April 9 – May 21, 2006

THE IMPRESSIONISTS

New Drama

By Michael McKeever

World Premiere

Fighting the system and at times each other, a few stout individuals (Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas and Pissarro, among others) broke all the rules and changed forever how modern man would look at art.  From the rigid conformity of the Paris Salon to the exhilaration and freedom of their first independent show, these artists' story is one filled with human drama.  Great loss and remarkable triumph all play a part in the birth of what would become known as Impressionism.
