Bobby Vinton Performs at Drury Lane Theatre 5/16-17

Chart-topping musician Bobby Vinton will entertain audiences in a limited engagement at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, on Monday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. A lavish lunch or dinner is available at 11:30 a.m. on both days and 6 p.m. on Tuesday including:

First Course: Tomato Basil Bisque, Asparagus En Croute, or Spring Mix Salad

Entree: Michigan Pike Shrimp, Stuffed Chicken Capri, Strip Loin of Angus Beef, or Potato Gnocchi

All meals are served with Chef's choice of vegetable, potato and dessert

Named one of "the most successful love singers of the Rock-Era" by Billboard Magazine, Bobby Vinton has established himself as one of America's most versatile entertainers. After the release of his first single, "Roses Are Red (My Love)," which spent four weeks in the number one slot on the Billboard 100 charts, Vinton's smooth voice and lush orchestral arrangements made him one of the best-selling artists of his generation. In 1963, Vinton hit number three on the charts with "Blue on Blue," and then topped the charts with "Blue Velvet," and "There, I've Said It Again." The following year Vinton recorded "Mr. Lonely," which also reached number one, earning him more hit records than any other male recording artist in the 1960s. Bobby Vinton has also enjoyed success in other areas of the entertainment world. For three years, he hosted his own weekly syndicated television series, which aired in over 140 cities throughout the United States and Canada. He also hosted a highly rated network variety special for CBS Television; has headlined hit performances in Las Vegas, Branson and Atlantic City; and starred in the John Wayne movies Big Jake and The Train Robbers.
