It's the hottest ticket for Broadway's hottest ticket. On July 9th, Lin-Manuel Miranda, at least for now, says goodbye to the title role in the national sensation he wrote and has been starring in, HAMILTON. The author of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical hints that he'll probably be making return appearances in the role in one place or another, but for now the Broadway responsibly of playing the smash hit's title role goes to Javier Muñoz, who has won a great following of fans as the once-a-week alternate.

Miranda will soon begin shooting his starring role in Disney's "Mary Poppins Returns." July 9th will also be the final performance for Phillipa Soo, who will go from playing Eliza Hamilton to the title role in the Broadway-bound musical AMELIE, and for Leslie Odom, Jr., who took the Tony Award for Best Actor In a Musical as Aaron Burr.

Charitybuzz's new online auction offers two VIP house seats for the July 9th, 8pm performance of HAMILTON. The winning bid will support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 BC/EFA has raised more than $285 million for essential services for people with AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

HAMILTON's creative team previously collaborated on the 2008 Tony Award Winning Best Musical In The Heights.

HAMILTON features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, and casting by Telsey + Company, Bethany Knox, CSA.

The musical is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.

The Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording is available everywhere nationwide. The Hamilton recording received a 2016 Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.
