Bid To Meet DAPHNE'S DIVE's Daphne Rubin-Vega, Support A.R.T. New York

Daphne Rubin-Vega burst onto the Broadway scene with her electrifying Tony-nominated performance as Mimi in Jonathan Larson's RENT, having moved with the Pulitzer-winning musical from the New York Theatre Workshop. She appeared on Broadway in another Pulitzer-winner, Nilo Cruz's ANNA IN THE TROPICS and has shown versatility playing roles as diverse as Magenta in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and Stella in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE.

Her current gig is by another Pulitzer-winner, Quiara Alegria Hudes. In Signature Theatre's production of DAPHNE'S DIVE, she plays one of the denizens of a neighborhood bar who form a family through the years.

Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of DAPHNE'S DIVE, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegría Hudes (Water by the Spoonful, In the Heights) and directed by Thomas Kail (Hamilton, Fox's "Grease: Live"). The production plays at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Moggie (NBC's "Mercy") as Jenn, Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) as Inez, Matthew Saldivar (Act One) as Pablo, Tony Award nomineeGordonJoseph Weiss (Fool for Love) as Rey and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley ("Orange Is the New Black") as Ruby.
