Brian d'Arcy James, Malcolm Gets and More to Join Ethan Hawke in LCT's MACBETH; Cast Announced!

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director André Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

In this new production of what is widely considered to be one of Shakespeare's darkest and most powerful tragedies Ethan Hawke will play Macbeth opposite Anne-Marie Duff as Lady Macbeth with Bianca Amato as Lady Macduff, Richard Easton as Duncan, Brian d'Arcy James as Banquo, Jonny Orsini as Malcolm, Daniel Sunjata as Macduff, with Malcolm Gets, John Glover and Byron Jennings as the Three Witches, and Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson in other roles.

MACBETH will have sets by Scott Pask, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Japhy Weideman and original music and sound by Mark Bennett, projections by Jeff Sugg and fight direction by Steve Rankin.

Jack O'Brien directed the recent LCT production of The Nance and won Tony Awards for his direction of both The Coast of Utopia andHenry IV. His other LCT credits include The Invention of Love (Tony Award nomination), Pride's Crossing, The Little Foxes, Hapgood (Lucille Lortel Award) and Two Shakespearean Actors (Tony Award nomination). His many Broadway credits include the musicals Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray and The Full Monty. One of this country's most prolific directors of Shakespeare, he is the former Artistic Director of San Diego's Old Globe Theatre and the author of the recently published memoir Jack Be Nimble, the Accidental Education of an Unintentional Director.

MACBETH will be performed Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Please note there will be no matinee on Saturday, October 26. Beginning November 26 all Tuesday evening performances will begin at 7pm.
