Tony Award-winning actor Beth Leavel will join the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's upcoming production of CALL ME MADAM, playing the role of Sally Adams July 24-28. Leavel previously appeared with the Lyric as Mrs. Hannigin in a 2004 production of ANNIE.

Leavel is known for her Broadway roles in BABY, IT'S YOU!, for which she was nominated for another Tony last year, 42ND STREET, STREET, CRAZY FOR YOU, SHOWBOAT, THE CIVIL WAR and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.

Inspired by Oklahoma City’s own international socialite and ambassador, Perle Mesta, this musical comedy is full of Irving Berlin tunes such as love, like “Hostess with the Mostes” and “You’re Just in Love.” The show will be directed by Lyric's Artistic Director Michael Baron, with book by Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse and music & lyrics by Irving Berlin.

CALL ME MADAM will feature choreography by Amy Reynolds Reed, music direction by David Andrews Rogers, scenic design by Adam Koch, lighting Design by Helena Kuukka and costume Design by Jeffrey Meek.
