Beth Leavel, Lindsay Mendez and More Join Drew Gasparini at Joe's Pub, 3/27

After a second sold-out show engagement at Joe's Pub in January, songwriter Drew Gasparini has been invited back to the famed NYC venue for a third concert on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 9:30pm. The evening will feature brand-new material from Drew's show Circles, and his upcoming serial killer musical, Make Me Bad

Drew Gasparini's concert will include performances by Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), plus Catherine Brookman (Hair), Kasie Gasparini, F. Michael Haynie (Carrie), Emma Hunton (Rent, Spring Awakening), Andrew Kober (Hair), Lindsay Mendez (Godspell), Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening), Catherine Porter (Next to Normal), Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), John Scherer (Lovemusik), Emily Kay Shrader and Kacie Sheik (Hair). Additional performers will be announced shortly. 

The band will feature Gasparini on piano, with Adam Stoler (Guitars), Andy Kuusisto (Bass) and Ahmed Abdur-Rahman (Drums). The event reunites Gasparini with director Stephen Agosto, who helmed the NYMF run of his show Crazy, Just Like Me. The concert is being produced by John Johnson and Katie Riegel (jokr productions).

Drew Gasparini is an award winning singer/songwriter & composer/lyricist. He has shared the stage as a performer with acts such as Jason Mraz, Third Eye Blind, and the Plain White T's. His musical Crazy, Just Like Me has been seen across the country, and even in Australia. CJLM was featured in the National Alliance of Musical Theater showcase in 2009, the San Francisco theater festival in 2009, and was a huge success in the 2011 New York Musical Theater Festival winning "Best of Fest" and scoring runner up for best book. Drew has also written the music and lyrics for his shows CirclesInappropriate Stories Told at a BarThe Up/Down and Above My Pay Grade (book by Louis Sacco) which was commissioned by Pfizer and Holt Learning. Drew has contributed music and lyrics to Cait Doyle's Hot Mess in Manhattan, for which he wrote "The Text Message Song," as well as to Broadway in South Africa.  Drew is a part of the BMI/Lehman Engle Fellowship for composers and lyricists and continues to write and sell out concerts in New York City.
