Bernadette Peters, one of Broadway's most acclaimed stars and one of this writer's most beloved performers, returns to the stage of the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall on March 8 at 8 p.m. The two-time Tony Award-winner presents a glamorous songbook evening. Peters celebrates the Broadway shows for which she's received accolades, as well as songs from her Grammy-Award winning and nominated albums. The stellar evening – with the Florida Classical Orchestra led by Ms. Peters' music director, Marvin Laird – includes popular standards and songs by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, among others, performed as only Bernadette Peters can.

Peters' career as a musical theater, television and film performer has garnered her numerous honors including two Tony Awards, seven Tony Award  nominations, three Grammy Awards for her work on cast recordings, three Grammy Award nominations for her solo recordings, three Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe. Performing since the age of 3, Peters' enduring career continues to thrive with her one-woman concert tour throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as starring on Broadway, television appearances and recordings. Her most recent Tony Award nomination, for her role of Rose in Sam Mendes' Broadway revival of Gypsy, earned her Ben Brantley's statementin The New York Times: "Bernadette Peters is a revelation!"

H.O.T. at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County offers full-time students and seniors (65 and over), and members of the military Half-Off Tickets purchased on the day of performance. Must present current picture I.D. on day of show at The Arsht Center Box Office Window; 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Downtown Miami. Subject to availability of seats at time of purchase. Limit 1 ticket per purchase. The Arsht Center Box Office is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday; beginning at noon on weekends when there is a performance scheduled; and two hours before every performance.
