Music and screen star Barbra Streisand was honored on Friday night at the Grammy's MusiCares event, where ET's Nancy O'Dell spoke to her about GLEE's interpretations of her songs and asked if she would ever consider appearing on the show.

"Not if I can help it," Barbra said. "I have seen some of the episodes. My niece, my young niece saw 'Funny Girl' on DVD and said, 'How come you're singing so many songs from 'Glee'?'"

The popular FOX series has used a few of Streisand's songs in previous episodes. Lea Michele performed some for the show and also performed a tribute to Streisand at the event.

"She's pretty good," Streisand told O'Dell.

Besides her fame in the entertainment industry, Streisand has come to be recognized for her strong political views, though she says she would never run for office.

With the Presidential election coming up in 2012, Streisand said of Sarah Palin's possible run for office, "I wouldn't be encouraged if I heard Sarah Palin's going to run."

The MusiCares event kicks off Grammy weekend which concludes with the presentation of the award show. Streisand will perform Sunday on CBS.
