By: BWW News Desk
A living, breathing American masterpiece, HAl Holbrook's Mark Twain TONIGHT!, is returning to the historic Balboa Theatre Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 8PM. The show is, quite simply, one of the most acclaimed and enduring performances in the history of theatre!
HAl Holbrook took to the stage almost 60 years ago, in a tiny off-Broadway Theatre and introduced the world to a man they'd never forget. Winner of the 1966 Tony Award® for Best Actor in a Dramatic Role and a 1966 Drama Circle Critic's Award, Holbrook continues to enthrall audiences around the world with his one-man show."Holbrook's characterization of the great novelist and raconteur is, to this day, a work in progress. The transformation is so complete as to be almost unsettling at times. The combination of Holbrook's physical and vocal talents and the potency of Twain's words is a mesmerizing thing to behold." - The Washington Post
