Harry Connick Jr. On Hugh Jackman's Cell Phone Outburst: 'I Wouldn't Have Done That'
Posted: 10/1/2009
It was during a very crucial emotionally charged scene and would have been more of a disservice to the audience if they had tried to continue while everyone was distracted. I like Harry but Pajama Game is not ASR and he's no Hugh Jackman or Daniel Craig. If he wouldn't have done it that may be because he doesn't have the chutzpah to handle something that way.

A Theatre Lover's Guide to DC/Capital Area Theatres – October Offerings

I'd like to add one more show to my MUST SEE LIST. Act Two Performing Arts is performing Jason Robert Brown's musical "PARADE" from October 15-October 18th at The Olney Theatre's Center's Theatre Lab. I'm a big fan of Act Two. Their musicals have consistently made my "Best of the Year" lists, and many of their actors have made my "Scene Stealers" articles. I hope you will support these talented young actors by attending the show. I know they will do a great job. Go to their website for more information.

I've been trying for the past 28 minutes on the website, sent an email to the Washington Post , tried to find a phone number and now, I'm tired of this. I'm thinking bogus as well, of course the site probably crashed at preccisely 12:00pm...how convenient.

I tried to get a free ticket but the web site
www.lowt.org did not work. After several attemps I realize this must be a bogus web site. It was a good thought by the Theater folks.
Photo Coverage: Steven Spielberg and Billy Crystal Visit Backstage At Broadway's WEST SIDE STORY

This is the third visit recently in which we've gone to a Broadway production, and we felt we couldn't have made a better choice this time. Matthew Hydzik played Tony that afternoon. He had it all the sweetness of Tony and the voice - all I can say is "Te adoro" Matthew! I was just now looking to see if he has any recordings out yet, which is how I stumbled upon this website. I was surprised to read that the integration of Spanish into the production had been modified. We saw the production just after the modification and it still seemed there was too much Spanish. I have studied Spanish but because the words are sung so rapidly and are miked, it was difficult to fully comprehend. I would suggest the English/Spanish interpretation should be flashed above the stage, as is done in operatic productions. These are lyrics not to be missed in either language, particularly the delightful: "I Feel Pretty." Fabulous casting, and the orchestra had my heart pounding. Loved the percussionist and vibraphones in the upper boxes! I will recommend this show to everyone I know living in or headed to New York.
