TV: PETA Enlists Samia Najimy Finnerty for 'Vegans Go All the Way' Ad

PETA, which normally waits for spokespeople to turn 18 before asking them to star in a "provocative" campaign, has enlisted 16-year old Samia Najimy Finnerty for its new "Vegans Go All the Way" ad. Samia, PETA's youngest pinup, is the singing-songwriting daughter of actor Kathy Najimy and singer Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band. The playful posters aimed at teens will debut in conjunction with the performer's show tonight, July 9 at Joe's Pub, at 6pm. Check out what Samia had to say about the cause below!

"Being a vegetarian is so '90s," proclaims the new PETA ad. "Nowadays, it's easy to live without hurting any animal."

"I decided to go all the way, because it's the best thing you can do for animals," Samia explains in an exclusive PETA interview. "I went vegan because I saw videos of how animals are being treated and how they were getting milk from cows and eggs from chickens, and it's almost worse than killing the animals because their life is so torturous before they die."
