BWW TV: On The Scene with Carson Kressley at His NEWSICAL Opening Night!

Emmy-winning television star Carson Kressley joined the cast of off Broadway's NEWSical The Musical on February 11. NEWSical The Musical is the forever changing, completely un-sanitized musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof. From the looming fiscal cliff crisis to the pope opening a Twitter account to Honey Boo Boo, NEWSicalThe Musical sets all of today's biggest pop culture headlines to song. Kressley is the latest star to grace the NEWSical The Musical stage. BroadwayWorld's very own Randy Rainbow was there for the festivities and you can check out interviews with the guests and Kressley himself below!

Kressley has starred on several television shows including Lifetime's critically acclaimed How To Look Good Naked, OWN's Carson-Nation, and Bravo's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, a role that earned him a primetime Emmy. He was voted a "fan-favorite" on ABC's worldwide hit, Dancing With the Stars, and recently completed a headlining gig as the host of Dancing With the Stars Live in Las Vegas.

NEWSical The Musical features Christine Pedi (Sirius XM Host, Little Me, Talk Radio), Michael West (When Pigs Fly, Forbidden Broadway), Tommy Walker (Evil Dead The Musical), Susan Mosher (Hairspray), Emily McNamara (NYC Nightlife star) and Ryan Knowles (host of Nickelodeon's ME:TV).

NEWSical The Musical is directed by Mark Waldrop (When Pigs Fly, My Deah, Inventing Avi, Papermill Playhouse's Gypsy) and produced by Tom D'Angora (Naked Boys Singing!, ICONS, Broadway Diva Christmas, Divas I've Done). Rounding out the creative team are Ed Goldschneider (music director), Jason Courson (set designer), and Ryan Obermeier (stage manager).

Randy Rainbow is a writer, actor, comedian and Internet celebrity based in New York City. Randy most recently appeared on the VH1 special, 'The 100 Greatest Songs of the 2000's' and is slated to appear on their upcoming special 'The 100 Greatest Child Stars'. He is currently working on a live stage show. His mother thinks he is very talented.
