BWW TV: Meet the Cast of MTC's THE OTHER PLACE- Laurie Metcalf, Daniel Stern, Zoe Perry, and More!

Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of The Other Place, the new play by Sharr White, directed by Joe Mantello and starring Laurie Metcalf, Daniel Stern, Zoe Perry, and John Schiappa, will start previews on Tuesday, December 11 and will open Thursday, January 10 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The cast just met the press, and BroadwayWorld brings you interviews with the whole gang below!

Three-time Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Laurie Metcalf ("Roseanne," November, Long Day's Journey into Night in London's West End, and a founding ensemble member of Steppenwolf Theatre Company) stars in MTC's Broadway premiere production of The Other Place, a riveting new thriller by fast-rising playwright Sharr White and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Other Desert Cities, Wicked, Love! Valour! Compassion!).

Metcalf plays Juliana Smithton, a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband (Daniel Stern) has filed for divorce, her daughter (Zoe Perry) has eloped with a much older man (John Schiappa) and her own health is in jeopardy. But in this brilliantly crafted work, nothing is as it seems. Piece by piece, a mystery unfolds as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface.

The Other Place had its world premiere at MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director), opening on March 28, 2011 where it extended due to popular demand. The Other Place was nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards, a Drama League Award, and three Lucille Lortel Awards. Metcalf won an Obie Award and a Lucille Lortel Award for her performance in the production.

His breakout video, 'Randy Rainbow is Dating Mel Gibson,' received more than 70,000 views in one week and has since surpassed 113,000 views. Randy was a theatrical critic/interviewer for HX Magazine (one of New York's most prominent gay publications) and has hosted and performed in numerous theatrical concerts and benefit performances around NYC. He has been heard as both a guest and guest co-host on Sirius XM OutQ's "Derek and Romaine Show". Randy most recently appeared on the VH1 special, 'The 100 Greatest Songs of the 2000's' and is slated to appear on their upcoming special 'The 100 Greatest Child Stars'.
