A Little Kinky Macaroons
Ingredients:
-1/2 Cup Almond Meal
-1 Cup Powdered Sugar
-1 TBSP CoCo Powder
-2 Egg White (Room temperature)
-4 tsp Sugar
-1/4 tsp Vanilla
-3 tsp Red Food Coloring
Directions:
-Combine almond meal, powdered sugar, and coco powder and sift together into large bowl.
-Using a mixer on low speed, mix egg whites until little bubbles appear.
-Slowly add sugar while mixer is still in use until stiff white peaks form.
-Add Vanilla and food coloring and mix.
-Gently fold in dry ingredients.
-Pour mixture into large plastic bag and cut bottom corner to create a pipping bag.
-Pipe small circles of batter.
-Place to the side for 15min to allow a film to harden on top of circles.
-Test with finger to make sure they are no longer sticky.
-Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
-Put together sandwiches using filling of choice (we used vanilla icing and raspberry jam!)
-Enjoy and feel super fancy while you eat your French Macaroons and channel Nicola!
