This morning, Broadway actor, director and choreographer Jacob Brent sent around a note on Facebook that quickly spread through the theatre community and dozens showed up to sing for stranded tourists and to help raise funds for the Red Cross. Check out our photos and scroll down for a video peak below!

"Dear Theater Friends in Midtown and those of you who know people who live here - There is a lot of devastation in our beloved city and for some reason we here in Midtown have been spared. I just walked over to Times Square and people are looking for something to do. I think we should all get together and sing some songs for these people. The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow, New York, New York, No Business like Show Business....we all know them. It's not much but its a little something we can do for the city.

MEET - at 3PM in times square (Duffy Square/TKTS Booth) - wear a show shirt or anything you want. We'll sing, dance and bring some Broadway to NYC.

ONLY IF YOU CAN GET HERE SAFELY!!!"
