BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net with headquarters in New York City, is currently seeking a new Editor to manage our ever-growing Newsdesk from the hours of 4pm - 11pm Eastern Standard Time (1pm - 8pm PST) and some hours over the weekend. Looking for industry enthusiasts who bring a basic knowledge of theater current events to the table, and who are interested in growing with the team. Must be able to commit to the stated hours Monday through Friday and few weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include overwriting and publishing all press releases in our central inbox, drafting original stories from news tips/briefings, managing photo and video columns, and handling correspondence with press reps around the world.

Applicants must be able to write quickly and accurately, possess a strong command for the English language, share a knowledge and passion for the theater, and be able to work independently.  This position is remote and requires you to have secure access to a computer and high speed internet only.  Access to New York is not required.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
