Hi friends! What an amazing last 6 months I have had. In March I finished out the first national tour of "MARY POPPINS" in Mexico City playing for almost 5,000 people a night. Touring was such an unforgettable experience and I feel lucky to have been a part of such an amazing group of people. I landed back in NYC after being away for almost 6 years, and much to my surprise I booked my first Broadway show my second week back. What a welcome back to NYC gift that was! On April 3rd I made my Broadway debut in the hit show "Rock of Ages", and since then the fun has not stopped.

I am a huge music fan, and I try to go to as many concerts as my schedule allows. This spring I was able to attend "Coachella" for the first time. If you don't know what that is, let me explain. It is a three day music festival with several stages set up in the beautiful desert city of Indio, CA. I got to see some of my favorite artists play like Florence + the Machine, M83, Radiohead, Feist and so many more. I am a west coast girl so just being back in CA was great and gave me an opportunity to see so many friends and family that are still in LA.

This summer "Rock of Ages" was turned into a hollywood film, which gave us many cool press opportunities to plug our show and the film. Who doesn't want to sing 80's rocks songs during the summer? It was perfect! We were invited to surprise and perform for THE Tom Cruise at an event he was being honored at. It was definitely a surreal moment standing next to him singing happy birthday to him as well, and the event was incredible.

This week is jammed packed with some more amazing events, that I will tell you about in my next blog. The one I am super stoked about is called "The Boot Campaign" that Rock of Ages teamed with.  The Boot Campaign helps you show your appreciation for American troops, raise awareness of the challenges they face when they return home, and donate funds to charities that support their transition home. And our way of ‘giving back’ was to invite 160 military heroes to come see our show for free! I cannot wait to meet the soldier face to face and thank them for all their hard work. Check them out here http://www.bootcampaign.com

I am also a huge reader. Fall just feels like a good time to cozy up with tea and read. I am currently reading "Sacre' Bleu" but Christopher Moore, but I usually read non-fiction. What are you all reading?  I love suggestions.

Until next time....
