BRING IT ON Cast Album Gets 9/25 Digital Release!

Universal Pictures Stage Productions/Glenn Ross, Beacon Communications/Armyan Bernstein & Charlie Lyons and Executive Producers Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson just announced the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical. The album, produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, will be released for digital download on iTunes beginning September 25, 2012 and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

Direct from a 13-city national tour, the limited Broadway engagement of Bring It On: The Musical began preview performances on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at The St. James Theatre (246 W. 44th Street) and officially opened on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. After opening to widespread critical acclaim, the show – which was scheduled to end its limited run on Sunday, October 7, 2012 – is now extended through Sunday, January 20, 2013.

Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, Bring It On: The Musical is inspired by the Bring It On film and features an original story by Tony® Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony® Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), music by Pulitzer® and Tony® Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and music supervision by Tony® and Grammy® Award winner Alex Lacamoire (In The Heights). The production is directed and choreographed by Tony® Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights).

Bring It On: The Musical tells the story of the challenges and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill of extreme competition. With a colorful crew of characters, an exciting fresh sound and explosive dance with aerial stunts, this hilariously universal story is sure to be everything you hoped for and nothing like you expected.

The cast of Bring It On: The Musical is led by newcomer Taylor Louderman as Campbell and Adrienne Warren (Dreamgirls) as Danielle, the cast features Ryann Redmond (Back Stage Garland, LA Ticketholder and BroadwayWorld Atlanta Award winner for her role in this production) as Bridget, Elle McLemore (Disney’s “Suite Life on Deck”) as Eva, Jason Gotay (Broadway’s Rising Stars and Rent) as Randall, Ariana DeBose (Hairspray, “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Nautica, Gregory Haney (Memphis) as La Cienega, Neil Haskell (9 to 5, “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Steven, Dominique Johnson as Cameron, Janet Krupin as Kylar, Kate Rockwell (Legally Blonde) as Skylar, Nicolas Womack as Twig, Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson and Bettis Richardson. The cast also features some of the nation’s most skilled competitive cheerleaders with over 25 national and 50 team titles in gymnastics and choreography.
