Tony Award winning producers Scott and Brian Zeilinger have officially announced that Human, a new play by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale), will premiere on Broadway in the 2013-14 Season. Directed by Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (The House of Blue Leaves, Guys and Dolls), Human will have a New York reading on Friday, September 7th with a cast that features Chazz Palminteri, Evan Jonigkeit, Sophie Monk (Date Movie), Tony Award nominee Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park), and Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite).

A chance encounter on a Central Park bench thrusts two diametrically opposed men into the fight for their lives in Human, a darkly comic play that proves that crime, whether on Wall Street or the mean streets, ain’t no walk in the park.

Human will mark Mr. Palminteri’s return to Broadway as both playwright and actor. His acclaimed solo work, A Bronx Tale, also directed by Mr. Zaks, had a hit run at The Walter Kerr Theatre in 2007-8.
