BLUEBARN Opens Season 22 with TALK RADIO, 9/30-10/16

BLUEBARN Theatre will kick off Season 22 with Eric Bogosian's TALK RADIO,which opens September 30th and runs through October 16th. BLUEBARN's Artistic Director, Susan Clement-Toberer directs with costumes by Jenny Pool, scenic design by Martin Scott Marchitto, and lighting design by Carol Wisner. Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, October 3rd and 10th at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 for adults; and $20 for students, TAG members, seniors 65+, and groups of 10 or more.

Barry Champlain, Cleveland's controversial radio host is on the air doing what he does best: insulting the pathetic souls who call in the middle of the night to sound off. Tomorrow, Barry's show is going into national syndication and his producer is afraid that Barry will say something that will offend the sponsors. This, of course, makes Barry even more outrageous. Funny and moving, off-beat, outrageous and totally entrancing, Bogosian's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play still resonates almost 20 years after its Off- Broadway debut.

About the stars of Talk Radio
Equity Actor Jerry Longe plays the central character of "Barry Champlain." Jerry has been seen on the BLUEBARN stage in The Dresser, Arcadia, and Little Nelly's Naughty Noel. However, Jerry is best known for his annual performance as "Ebeneezer Scrooge" in A Christmas Carol at the Omaha Playhouse. The supporting cast of TALK RADIO includes Gary Planck, Shane Staiger, Connie Lee, Dave Wingert, Karl Rohling, Andrew Miner, Zachary L. Cook, Debbie Massey, Madeline Radcliff, and Theresa Sindelar.
