BEDBUGS!!! Plays ATAÂ's Chernuchin Theatre, 10/19-11/4

The smash hit of the 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) with Music by Paul Leschen, Book and Lyrics by Fred Sauter, will receive a fully-mounted production at ATA's Chernuchin Theatre, October 19-Nov. 4, 2012.
                        
Girl meets bug in this original comedy sci-fi thriller rock musical. BEDBUGS!!! follows the hilarious and heartbreaking story of Carly, a passionate, lone exterminator hell-bent on ridding New York City of its bloodsucking infestation down to the last hideous parasite. Set to an '80s inspired, melodic rock score, BEDBUGS!!! will take audiences on an journey so fantastical they won't even realize they're in the throes of a bedbug apocalypse!
                
BEDBUGS!!!, will be presented by Dale Joan Young with Direction and Choreography by Robert Bartley (Broadway Backwards) and Music Supervision by Debra Barsha (Jersey Boys).  The production will feature Costume Design by Philip Heckman (Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking), Scenic Design by Clifton Chadick, Lighting Design by Kirk Fitzgerald, Sound Design by Jason T. Hurley, and Wigs, Hair and Make-up Design by Bobbie Cliffton Zlotnik (Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking). Amy Jones serves as Assoc. Director/Co-Choreographer.
        
Chris Hall and Brian Charles Rooney (who won an award for best actor in the 2008 NYMF production) will be returning as Cimex, the leader of the bedbugs, and Dionne Salon, respectively.  Additional casting TBA.
                
The ATA Chernuchin Theatre is located at 314 West 54th Street, NYC.
Previews:  Fri., Oct. 19 at 8pm, Sat., Oct. 20 at 2pm and 8pm.  Official Opening: Sun., Oct. 21 7pm
Regular performances will be Wed, Thurs and Fri nights at 8pm, Saturdays at 2 and 8pm, Sundays at 5pm, October 24-November 4, 2012.
