The residents of AVENUE Q are ringing in the 2009 New Year at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale. In honor of the celebration, twenty seats in the front orchestra will be made available for $25.00 for every performance of AVENUE Q, the Tony® Award winning musical at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. 2½hours prior to each show, people who arrive at the Broward Center Box Office will have their names placed in a lottery drum. Thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for 20 orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.

AVENUE Q is the smash hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a funny, irreverent, Tony ® Award winning book and score. The three time Tony ® Award winner, including Best Musical is now in its 4th year at Broadway's John Golden Theatre. AVENUE Q tells the story of Princeton, a bright?]eyed college grad who moves to NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone's looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship, and a "purpose." Eventually, Princeton learns to embrace the ups and downs of city life and realizes that "the real world" isn't so bad, after all.

The New York Times hailed AVENUE Q as "a breakthrough musical of a very different stripe. Savvy, sassy and delicious!" and Entertainment Weekly claimed it was "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see!"  This critic simply loved it.
