According to The Hollywood Reporter, five-time Tony Award winning actress Audra McDonald will guest star on the CBS legal drama The Good Wife later this season.

The actress will portray the "nemesis" of Julianna Margulies' Alicia. In the episode, the two attorneys, who first met during their earlier years at Georgetown Law School, will once again come face to face in the courtroom. While McDonald is so far scheduled to appear in only one episode of the show, there is a possibility she may reprise the role later on in the season.

McDonald joins a long list of celebrity guest stars on this season of the show, including Matthew Perry, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael J. Fox, Amanda Peet, Nathan Lane and Christina Ricci.

The actress will soon appear in the series finale of ABC's Private Practice, reprising her role as Dr. Naomi Bennett. She was last seen on Broadway in the revival of 'Porgy and Bess' for which she won her fifth Tony Award. She is currently host of PBS's 'Live From Lincoln Center.'

The Good Wife airs 9 p.m. Sundays on CBS.
