Last night, Broadway greats gathered at Joe's Pub to sing selections from Kander and Ebb's Cabaret. Anne Hathaway, who will be appearing as Fantine in the movie musical Les Miserables, five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, Eddie Redmayne (RED, Marius in Les Mis movie), Bryce Pinkham, Broadway legend and multi-award-winner Linda Lavin, and yet another great, Harvey Fierstein, all participated in this musical evening called, Perfectly Marvelous: the Songs of Cabaret.

According to The Village Voice, the show started with Hathaway, McDonald, and Redmayne singing "Wilkommen." For the most part, Hathaway sang as Sally Bowles, performing the title song, "I Don't Care Much," "Mein Herr," and even dressed as the dancing gorilla as Pinkham sang "If You Could See her Through My Eyes." McDonald reduced the audience to tears with her rendition of "Maybe This Time." She and Hathaway turned "Married" into a gay marriage celebration duet, and Redmayne and Pinkham joined in for part of it as well. Redmayne, who sang as Cliff, sang "Why Should I Wake Up?" and Hathaway joined him in a duet, "Perfectly Marvelous." In addition, Linda Lavin and Harvey Fierstein sang "Pineapple Song."

Composer John Kander himself attended the performance, as did book writer Joe Masteroff, both of whom highly praised all of the performers.

Audra McDonald Tweeted the following this morning with the picture above:

"The ladies from last nights benefit. KILLED it as Sally Bowles & is a genius!
