Freedom to Marry, the campaign to win marriage nationwide, will host a Valentine’s Day fundraising event with the Interbank Roundtable called “Get Engaged!” at XL Nightclub on Thursday, February 16. The party will include a VIP cocktail reception from 5-6 pm with special guests including Tony© Winners Audra McDonald of Porgy and Bess, and Nikki M. James of Book of Mormon, along with Nick Adams of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rory O’Malley of Book of Mormon, and Max won Essen of Evita. New York Assembly Member Daniel J. O’Donnell, who helped lead the marriage bill to passage in the Assembly, will also attend.
First ever fundraiser at New York City’s XL Nightclub, part of the OUT Hotel, the only gay and straight-friendly urban resort, to celebrate Freedom to Marry’s win for marriage in New York and our recent victories striking down Proposition 8, passing marriage in Washington, and pushing the freedom to marry in New Jersey, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota, North Carolina, and throughout the rest of the nation.

The general admission event starts at 6 pm and includes signature cocktails from Chopin, wines from Lenz Wines, chocolates by Li-Lac, music by DJ Vito Fun, and a raffle featuring a vacation for two to Mexico donated by American Express Vacations.
