Auditions for AS EASY AS PIE at Surfside, 4/17

Surfside Players, Cocoa Beach, is excited to announce OPEN AUDITIONS for the winner of its 2011 Playwriting Contest, AS EASY AS PIE, an original full-length comedy by John Jordan of Cocoa, FL. A jealous wife gets revenge on her husband who seems to be hitting on his secretary. The director will be announced on our website April 12.

Auditions are Sunday, April 17, from 7:00 - 10:00pm (at the latest), for performances June 3 - 12 (two weekends). We are looking for 5 women (two in their 20s, three in their 50s-60s) and 3 men (two in their 30s and one in his 50s).

No experience or resume required; wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Rehearsals are typically Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Be aware of your conflicts during the rehearsal period.

We are also looking for volunteers to serve on the backstage crew, constructing scenery on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings during the rehearsal period, and assisting with props and costume changes during the performances. Sign up on the audition nights with the director.
