Audition Notice: Hansel and Gretel

Village Players Theater for Youth seeks
singer/actors with strong operatic vocal technique and dancer/singers with
strong lyrical/ballet training for its annual production of Humperdinck’s
opera Hansel and Gretel.
Roles Sought are:Hansel – Mezzo soprano
Gretel - Soprano
Mother – Mezzo soprano
Father - Baritone
Sandman/Dew Fairy - soprano
12 Goblins, Angels and Children – dancer/singers (sopranos/altos)
All auditioning should prepare 1 song or aria, (a capella) preferably from the score.
Dancer/singers will also be asked to perform a dance audition. Audition appointments
are being taken now for the following times:
Wednesday, October 29, 6 - 10 p.m.
Saturday, November 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All lead roles are paid and include a travel stipend. Chorus roles offer the travel stipend only.
