Also, our schedule of films has changed so please be sure to check out the new schedule and update your calendars.
Abilene Town (1946)In the years following the Civil War, the town of Abilene, Kansas is poised on the brink of an explosive confrontation. A line has been drawn down the center of the town where the homesteaders and the cattlemen have come to a very uneasy truce. The delicate peace is inadvertently shattered when a group of new homesteaders lay down their stakes on the cattle men's side of town, upsetting the delicate balance that had existed thus far and sparking an all-out war between The Farmers, who want the land tamed and property lines drawn, and the cowboys, who want the prairies to be open for their cattle to roam.
Fighting Westerner (1935)
From the pen of legendary Western author Zane Grey comes "The Fighting Westerner", an old fashioned frontier mystery starring Randolph Scott and Ann Sheridan! When a series of mysterious killings begin in a small mining town deep in the Rocky Mountains, lawman Larry Sutton (Randolph Scott) enlists the help of crusty Deputy Tex Murdock (Charles 'Chic' Sale, Treasure Island) to solve the crimes. With an endless list of suspects that includes crotchety mine owner Mrs. Borg (legendary Broadway star Leslie Carter), shady Chinese businessman Ling Yat (Willie Fung, Nancy Drew: Girl Detective), Sutton finds time running out as bodies pile up and everyone involved tries to lay their claim on a valuable radium strike deep in the mines. With adventure and chilling suspense, "The Fighting Westerner" is a lost western classic the whole family will enjoy!
