Ashley Brown, of Broadway's Mary Poppins, has
been announced to lead Broadway Artists Alliance's Mary Poppins-themed
master class on Friday, December 28.
Broadway Artists Alliance, the
dynamic not-for-profit educational organization that is quickly gaining a
reputation for ensuring the future of great Broadway talent by bringing
together Broadway artists and promising young performers, continues its master
class series with Ms. Brown and a representative from Tara Rubin Casting.
Ashley Brown is currently playing
the title role in Mary Poppins, a role she originated in
the Broadway production. Ms. Brown has also been seen on Broadway as Belle
in Beauty in the Beast, as well as performing with the National Tour of
Disney's On the Record. In 2007, she was nominated for a Drama
Desk Award (Outstanding Actress in a Musical) for her portrayal of Mary Poppins
in Mary Poppins.
This exciting master class marks
the fifth in Broadway Artists Alliance's 2007-2008 One-Day Master Class season,
which has included themed classes revolving around Broadway favorites: Spring
Awakening, A Chorus Line, and most recently, Les Miserables and Legally
Blonde. Upcoming classes include Wicked (January 19) and Spring
Awakening, reprised by popular demand (January 21). Broadway Artists
Alliance will take a master class break in February for their Advanced Winter
Intensive (February 16-18). The series will continue in March with The
Little Mermaid.
Space is limited for this master
class, which will take place on Friday, December 28 from
10AM-5:30PM. A few spaces in this One-Day Class remain - interested
students still have a chance to register! All master classes are open to
