Ars Nova Announces January Programming

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) announces a January lineup featuring ew comedy, music and theater programming.

Showgasm. (Thursday, 1/10; $5)

What is Showgasm, you ask? It's a renouncement of beige, a wet dream in a loveless marriage, the anti-brunch. Or more simply put, a raucous variety show with performances ranging from hilarious to titillating to utterly inappropriate. Come. You've never looked better!

Hosted by John Early. Featuring performances by Isaac Oliver, Tansy, Nicole Spiezio, Hamm Samwich, Guy Branum and Bridget Everett. Additional performers to be announced.

Squirm and Germ: Doppio (Friday, 1/11; $15)

Dynamic hip-hop comedy duo Squirm and Germ are turning 2! To celebrate, they're adding a double shot of talented guests to their high-energy, side-splitting show. Think The Beastie Boys meets Flight of the Conchords meets Rockapella, and get ready for a doubly unforgettable night!

In Others' Words (Monday, 1/14; $15)

Award-winning composer Joel B. New (2008 Larson Award) shares a selection of his unique brand of pop-art musical theater with a poetic twist ranging from the traditional to the magnetic. This intimate, one-night-only concert will feature a talented cast of performers from Broadway and beyond!
