It's been one of our most requested features for years, and we are very excited to unveil the new BroadwayWorld DB Pro - BETA, our new service that will let theatre professionals add themselves to the BWW International Theatre Database, add/update credits and bios, post photos and videos, promote events, list management info, maintain their information and lots more.
One of the largest, and most popular features of BroadwayWorld.com, setting up a 'People Page' will allow theatre professionals - Equity or non-Equity, on-stage or behind the scenes to join 265,578 (and counting!) other members of the theatre world with your own home on the largest theatre web site on the net.
If you're mentioned in a BroadwayWorld story and you're working anywhere in the theatre world, your name will automatically link to your new people page, and we'll soon be offering an expansive set of additional features allowing you to personalize your representation on the web. As we officially announced a few weeks back, we're heavily ramping up our regional offerings, including full and complete show listings for all 130 of our markets by the end of the year. With 15,000+ listings already, we are completely on track with that goal.
Yesterday, we also unveiled a new feature that allows regional productions to get 'enhanced' listings on the site - adding in photos, cast lists, videos, links and more. Productions that take advantage of this will receive highlights on our listing pages, extra editorial mentions and more. To take advantage of this, simply visit your show pages and look for the new, yellow links.
Lastly, we now have award nominations open for BWW 2011 Regional Awards in 3 times as many markets as last year. Nominations are open through the end of the month for:
