According to Deadline.com, Broadway legend Angela Lansbury is set to join Katherine Heigl in Adaline. The movie's screenplay is by J Mills Goodloe, Sal Paskowitz and Allison Burnett, and it will be directed by Abny Tennant.

In the film, Lansbury will star as Katherine Heigl's daughter. Heigl's character "was killed in a car accident, until a simultaneous lightning strike resuscitated her and physiologically locked her in her late 20s. Adaline lives a solitary existence until she meets a man worth losing her immortality to grow old with."

Lansbury is best known for her recent work in the Broadway revival of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, where she earned a Tony Award Nomination. Other noted performances include: BLITHE SPIRIT, DEUCE, MAME, SWEENEY TODD, GYPSY and DEAR WORLD.
