Andy Ezrin Trio Plays Birdland Tonight, 9/20

Andy Ezrin Trio will be appearing at Birdland tonight, September 20th from 6 to 7 pm, featuring Andy Ezrin on piano, Zev Katz on bass and Ben Wittman on drums.

Andrew Ezrin was born and raised in the Boston area and began playing the piano at the age of ten and was playing professionally by age twelve.

He has 12 jazz piano trio recordings under his own name including the well-reviewed CD 'Tactile.'

Andy has performed extensively throughout the world, including recording and touring since 1989 with appearances at Montreax, North Sea, Montreal, and Live Under The Sky in Japan as well as Carnegie Hall.

His own compositions can be heard extensively on television and radio including 'Sesame Street' and Cartoon Network's hit animated series 'Courage the Cowardly Dog' where he was co-composer for 4 years. He has also performed live on the 'Rosie O'Donnell Show,' 'Late Night With David Letterman,' and 'The Tony Danza Show'. He has also recorded live on television in Russia,Israel,France,Ireland and Japan(NHK).

Andy has toured and recorded with Joe Jackson and Rickee Lee Jones, Christopher Cross to name but a few.

For the past four years Andy has been touring extensively throughout the world as keyboardist with jazz trumpet sensation Chris Botti.

After years of backing many different acts at Birdland, Andy is very excited to be showcasing his trio there with all new compositions.
