According to the NY Post, Broadway favorites Andrew Rannells, Annaleigh Ashford, and Colin Donnell took part in a workshop last month for a stage version of 'Diner.' Based on the 1982 Barry Levinson film of the same name, the project featured direction by Kathleen Marshall and music by Sheryl Crow.

A source told NYP that 'the music is going to shock the hell out of people. It really delivers, and got a fantastic response.' The source also revealed that the show will begin an out-of-town run this summer.

Set in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1959, Diner tells the story of a group of male high school friends, now in their twenties, who reunite for the wedding of one of their group. The title refers to the Fells Point Diner, the group's late-night hangout. The semi-autobiographical film explores the changing relationships among these friends as they become adults through what is mostly a series of vignettes rather than a traditional narrative.
