With SCHOOL OF ROCK on Broadway and a West End bow imminent, Andrew Lloyd Webber could soon start developing his next musical.
The legendary composer, who will soon have three shows on The Great White Way this summer - THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, 'ROCK', and CATS - has spoken of his desire for one more hit. Today, The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports that Lloyd Webber is "exploring" the idea of a new musical centered around first Botswana president Seretse Khama, First Lady Ruth Williams, and their marriage.

In addition, Bamigboye writes that Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group, who recently acquired the St James Theatre in Westminster, is intent on renaming the venue The Other Palace, due to its close proximity to Buckingham Palace and the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Lloyd Webber is the composer of some of the world's best-known musicals including Cats, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard. His latest musical, the hit stage version of the movie "School of Rock", opened on Broadway in December 2015.
His awards, both as composer and producer, include seven Tonys, seven Oliviers, a Golden Globe, an Oscar, the Praemium Imperiale, the Richard Rodgers Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre, a BASCA Fellowship, the Kennedy Center Honor and a Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition for Requiem, his setting of the Latin Requiem mass which contains one of his best known compositions, Pie Jesu.
He owns seven London theatres including the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and the London Palladium.
He was knighted by Her Majesty The Queen in 1992 and created an honorary member of the House of Lords in 1997.
