AmoralistsAdam-Rapp-Talkback-Held-At-Gershwin-Hotel-fundraiser-20010101

The Amoralists proudly present Day & Night with The Amoralists, Theatre Where You Least Expect at The Gershwin Hotel and The Amoral Formal at Tammany Hall, on Monday, July 25. For more information and to purchase tickets visit bit.ly/DayAndNightWithTheAmoralists.

Theatre Where You Least Expect - Monday, July 25, at 6:30pm at The Gershwin Hotel (7 East 27 Street) in New York City.

In conjunction with The Amoralists' upcoming run of HotelMotel, their site-specific double feature at The Gershwin Hotel with a World Premiere by Derek Ahonen and a New York Premiere by Adam Rapp, The Amoralists present Theatre Where You Least Expect, a panel discussion about the challenges, joys, and importance of site-specific theater, the role of the audience and the types of spaces that work best.

Moderated by Andy Horowitz (Culturebot, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council), this discussion will include panelists Maureen Towey (Creative Director of Arcade Fire, ensemble member Sojourn Theatre), Stephen Brackett and Teddy Bergman (Woodshed Collective), Daniel Talbott (Literary Manager of Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Artistic Director of Rising Phoenix Rep) and Playwright Adam Rapp (The Hallway Trilogy, Red Light Winter) discussing their contribution to and perspective on site-specific work.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at bit.ly/DayAndNightWithTheAmoralists.

The Amoral Formal - Monday, July 25, from 8pm - 11pm at Tammany Hall (152 Orchard Street) in New York City.

The Amoralists are ready to party and to raise funds. Join them at The Amoral Formal to support the company and its impending run of HotelMotel. The evening will feature live performances by Less The Band, with Adam Rapp on vocals and guitar, Baba Brinkman (The Rap Guide to Evolution, The Rap Canterbury Tales), and The Ridiculous Frauds, featuring Amoralists company member and HotelMotel cast member Nick Lawson. Dress code is creative formal - interpret as you will. Additional special guests to be announced.

The Amoral Formal ticket prices are as follows:
- $20 gets you General Admission, 1 free Amoralists signature Snake Juice & 1 raffle ticket
- $50 gets you General Admission, free Amoralists signature Snake Juice all night & 2 raffle tickets
- $450 gets you a VIP table for 6, including bottle service, food, 6 raffle tickets & 2 free tickets to Theatre Where You Least Expect
Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/DayAndNightWithTheAmoralists.

Purchase tickets to both events at the same time and get $5 off the cost of the Theatre Where You Least Expect ticket. VIP tables must be purchased online in advance of the event.

The Amoralists' site-specific double feature HotelMotel includes the New York Premiere of Animals and Plants, written and directed by Obie Award-winner Adam Rapp, and the World Premiere of Pink Knees on Pale Skin, written and directed by Derek Ahonen. Explore betrayal, redemption, and the human need to be close to someone else - even for a fleeting moment. With only 20 audience members at each performance, nothing you have ever seen can prepare you for this epic experience of intimacy. HotelMotel runs Off-Broadway from August 4 - 29, at The Gershwin Hotel (7 East 27 Street). Previews begin August 4 for an August 10 opening. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased on the web at www.SmartTix.com or by calling 212-868-4444. For more information visit http://www.TheAmoralists.com.

The Amoral Formal is part of The Amoralists' new year-round fundraising campaign to build a community of Amoralytes (supporters of The Amoralists). Contributors to The Amoralists automatically become an Amoralyte and receive the opportunity to partake in various benefits, including parties with the cast, early ticket ordering, behind-the-scenes tours, talks and more. Amoralytes who donate $175 or above will guarantee the donor a free ticket to HotelMotel, along with their tax-deductible donation. Donors will also have access to special events throughout the run, including opening night parties, final dress rehearsals, a walk-through of the space before the show begins and more. For the full list of benefits and to donate online visit http://www.TheAmoralists.com.
