By: Gabrielle Sierra
American Theater of Actors presents the world premier of ROSA RAINE, a new drama by James Crafford, Directed by Ken Coughlin. James Crafford was a guest member of the Actor's Studio Playwrighting Unit under Elia Kazan and Harold Clurman; his last play Chepachet (also starring Coughlin) was adapted into a film and won the Best Drama Award at the New York International Independent Film Festival 2007 and won the Best Drama (Silver Medal) at THE INDIE GATHERING in Cleveland 2008.
ROSA RAINE is a ghost story about a married man haunted by the memory of a brief affair twenty years in the past. The memories are fraught with tragic secrets that tear his marriage apart and ask profound questions about life, love, infidelity and forgiveness. The play offers a remarkable collaboration between the writer, director, and cast.ROSA RAINE showcases a sparkling ensemble of talent, including Alan Charney, Ken Coughlin, Tamara Younge and Jennifer Lieberman playing the title role of Rosa Raine. Lieberman's solo show Year of the Slut won the Audience Choice Award at the Frigid NY Festival in March 2011.
