The company of the first North American tour of WICKED welcomes Alli Mauzey as Glinda and Andy Kelso as Fiyero on Friday, February 24 in Tempe, AZ.

Mauzey returns to Wicked having previously starred as Glinda in both the Broadway and final San Francisco productions. Mauzey starred as Lenora in the Broadway production of Cry-Baby (Theatre World Award Winner and Drama League Award Nomination) as well as originated the same role in the Pre-Broadway production of Cry-Baby at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego (Theatre Critics Circle Award). She played Brenda in Hairspray on Broadway and the First National Tour. Regional: Mallory in City of Angels for Reprise!, Snookie in 110 in the Shade at the Pasadena  Playhouse, and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at The Muny (Kevin Kline Award Nom). Among many voiceover credits, her voice can also be heard as a series regular on the animated television series “Alpha Teens on Machines.”

Kelso’s Broadway credits include Sky in Mamma Mia.  Regional: RENT (Mark), Two Rooms (Michael), Jacques Brel is Alive...The Drawer BoyFiddler on the Roof (Perchik), Footloose (Ren/Chuck).  Film/TV: The ProducersThank You...Next (webseries).  Originally from Denver, Andy studied acting at The University of Northern Colorado, and is a proud member of Actor's Equity.  

Mauzey and Kelso join a cast that includes Mamie Parris as Elphaba, Liz McCartney as Madame Morrible and Mark Jacoby as The Wizard.

The company also features Justin Brill (Boq), Emily Ferranti (Nessarose), Paul Slade Smith (Dr. Dillamond), Carla Stickler (Standby for Elphaba) and Natalie Daradich (Standby for Glinda) with Lauren Boyd, Antonette Cohen, Rick Desloge, Luis Augusto Figueroa, Timothy A. WICKED is currently playing ASU Gammage through March 11.  A very limited number of tickets to WICKED are still available. WICKED, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (GodspellPippin, Disney’s Enchanted, Academy Award® winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (“My So Called Life,” “Once And Again” and “thirtysomething”), is based on the 1995 best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire.  The musical is directed by two-time Tony® Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me OutLove! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues) and features musical staging by Tony® Award winner Wayne Cilento (AidaThe Who’s TommyHow To Succeed…).  WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone

Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One – born with emerald green skin – is smart, fiery and misunderstood.  The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.  WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.  

WICKED features set design by Tony® Award winning Eugene Lee (Ragtime, Show BoatCandide,Sweeney Todd), costume design by Tony®  winner Susan Hilferty (Spring AwakeningInto the Woods, Assassins), lighting design by Tony nominee Kenneth Posner (Tony®  Award winner for The Coast of Utopia,Hairspray) and sound design by Tony Meola (The Lion King).  Stephen Oremus is the show’s music director.  Orchestrations are by William David Brohn, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott.
